Saturday Camera Critters

While visiting the Maryland Zoo this past summer, my daughter always wanted to ride on a camel. He sure was a hungry critter and wasn't really interested in getting his picture taken grrrrrrrr!

Snow Snow GO AWAY

Our latest storm here in New Jersey has been a slow-moving winter storm packing heavy snow and strong gusty winds. It flurried all day long but we are headed into the evening with a blast of winter winds and more snow to come. Enough already!- I don't want to shovel any more snow. Spring where are you?

Gecko Gecko Knit me Lets Go!

This great Gecko pattern from Moorehousefarm was so easy to make.
I used two shades of purple for my favorite niece-in-law. She absolutely loves everything purple. Knitted in the easy garter stitch. If your a beginner this pattern is very easy to follow. Check out all the other great critters at Moorehousefarm by clicking here. Each one of the critters would be a great addition to your scarf collection.

Beads - Just what you needed

Here is a little handy trick when your knitting or crocheting and trying to remember what row you are on.
Take a small box and some beads. Count the number of rows that you are working on and gather together the same number of beads. Place all the beads outside of the box. After you have completed a row place one bead back inside of the box. When all the beads are in the box you have completed all the rows you were working on. This trick is sure to help if you want to talk on the phone or watch your favorite television show while you work on your project. I use this method all the time and never miss a row.- Enjoy!

Gathering Yarn

My yarn partner "Edggie" even he needs a little decoration. I love this little guy. I found him at a yard sale and could not resist buying him for 50 cents. What a deal. Selecting yarn for my next project seems to take endless hours of contemplating but I'm confident my choice will turn out just as pretty as the others.
